I'm Thilina Kaluthotage, a 28-year-old freelance photojournalist and Sony Alpha Ambassador based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Since beginning my photography career in 2018, I have collaborated with some of the world’s most renowned media organizations, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and NurPhoto Agency. My work has also been trusted by the World Bank, the European Union Election Observation Mission, and The Guardian in the UK.

As a Sony Alpha Ambassador, I utilize cutting-edge technology to create impactful visuals that tell powerful stories. My expertise spans breaking news, political events, environmental issues, and human-interest stories, all captured with a commitment to excellence and authenticity.

To ensure my preparedness in high-risk environments, I have completed Reuters' Hostile Environment Training (HET) and first aid training in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This specialized training equips me with the skills necessary to operate safely and effectively in challenging situations.

With a passion for storytelling and an unwavering dedication to my craft, I aim to inspire and connect audiences worldwide through compelling imagery. Every frame I capture is a testament to the power of photography in shaping how we see and understand the world.
