A Soldier Silhouetted Against the Sunset
On one of my free days, I visited Colombo’s Galle Face, where I often go to practice photography. That day, I brought my Sony A7C II camera with the 200-600mm G lens, not expecting much. Sometimes, I carry my big lenses just to try new things. As the evening went on, I noticed the flag ceremony at Galle Face. The sunset was beautiful, and I saw a chance to take a unique photo. I moved far back, used my lens at 600mm, and captured a soldier standing against the huge sun. His head was silhouetted perfectly, creating a powerful and simple image. Here are the camera settings I used: Aperture: f/13 ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/1600 The small aperture and fast shutter speed helped me capture the bright sun while keeping the soldier’s silhouette sharp. This photo shows how even an unplanned moment can turn into something special. It’s all about being ready and spotting the beauty around you.
